    Hello all. Very new.
Not active in the community yet, but thanks to covid distancing I had time to learn about furries via YouTube. I see this as an opportunity to bring some creativity back into my life. It harkens back to how I use to play as a child, and my love for Halloween. I have a couple other creatures I'm working on (zombie cat/werewolf), but for now I have my Rabbit. Reaching out to locals to see if I can get some advice on how to continue to build my first Fursona. Thank, and hope everyone's weekend is going well.

Creating a fursona depends on how you want to present yourself in the fandom. Some base their fursonas on their real life selves applying similar personality traits, while others go in the complete opposite direction. Me specific I went with the former, but it varies from person to person. It's also good to experiment with your designs; it's always good to test what you like and what you don't like. If you need any more help or just want someone to talk to, feel free to hit me up :).  More ...

I would say the Rabbit is a representation of my emotions. I gave her a fire element...which can be warm and comforting, or hazardous. The werewolf is a quiet benevolent protector that's in touch with nature. I have a wolf, and dragon tattooed on my back to always keep watch. I would often draw them as a preteen/teen to channel the feelings I would get when bullied. In my dreams I would be able to wolf out or turn into something scary to protect myself during a nightmare. However, I would wake up if I tried going after innocent people. The cat is a very literal representative of my love of horror, my inner goth, and my inner child. I would volunteer at haunts as a teen, and young adult. I would say it brought out my more outgoing nature. She's the only one with a name. Trioxin Cat 245. She is Frankensteined with bat wings for extra spook, a fox tail for extra floof, with patches of dark purple fur sewn over glowing bones. Her look is also based on a couple favorite toys from the 80's (Scare glow, Panthor, and my pet monster). This is all trapped in my head right now, and seems very ambitious to take on such a hobby. It's been ages since I've drawn art. This is something I use to do long ago though, but never knew it was something some people have developed into a culture.   More ...
